Do You Know Who I Am?

November 8th, 2008 | by Paula Brett |

No, that’s not me barging into some plush restaurant, being refused a table and demanding “Do you know who I am” like some publicity-crazed reality TV Z-Lister!

I had never really thought I was that elusive, (obscure, maybe), until my friend, ghostwriter to the stars, Pat Graham, referred to me as “one of those hard-to-find Internet Marketers” on her “Pay It Back With Gratitude” section of her just-launched site, Kitchen Blogging.

I mean, I’m not exactly the shy and retiring type and I always thought that I put it about quite a bit! You couldn’t exactly put me in the pigeon hole of “most private internet marketers on the net” in the same league as the recently “self-outed” Tony Shepherd - and no, before you get hold of the wrong end of the stick, I’m not saying he’s outed as in `gay’ outed…. not that I would have a problem if he was gay…. but he’s not…. he just has a big wooly beard…… so, perhaps we do have something in common after all!! Hmmm, best stop now before I dig this hole any deeper…..

Anyway, back to ME and the whole point of this post… to let you know about the release of `Real Life’ blogger, Daniel Flower’s warts and all, no holds barred, kiss and tell interview with little old moi!!!

So if you want to know how I muddle through in the I.M. world and other stuff, you can download it here

Oh, and don’t forget to download Tony’s interview — the link’s in PDF above ^^^ (Phew, think I might have got away with it!!!)

Do leave a comment and let me know what you think, I can handle it! :)

Hi Paula…just read your interview and learned a few interesting things about you.

What’s this about wanting to wear a cat suit and a cape?

I’m going to go change the Gratitude Page about you on my blog.

    Paula…
Excellent interview! Your style is so easy and you’re such a great people-person it’s no wonder the success you’ve acheived! It’s that quality, which I’m sure, makes your subscribers so responsive and loyal. A terrific lesson to all of us.

    Well done!

    Bob

    Hey Paula,

Nice interview with some very good advice.
I can’t believe you and Dan have not actually met yet :-)
You missed out ‘determination’ from one of your essential qualities, you certainly have plenty of that.

    Dave.

Pat, I’m liking the idea of the cat suit and cape more and more - they’ll have to be thermal, though, cos it’s flippin’ freezing here in London at the moment :(

Bob, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I’m glad that you enjoyed the interview. I really do have a great bunch of readers :)

Dave, it’s perfectly true, we’ve never met face to face. In my head, Dan looks like Jim Bowen or Leslie Neilson — so I think I’d be gutted to find that he’s not either, lol.

Determination? My husband would call it bloody-mindedness….!

Brilliant interview Paula, it’s so great to learn from someone who’s been there and I totally agree with what Bob says, after all the help you’ve given me I feel as if I’ve known you for ages.
Keep up the good work :)

Wow, thank you SO much, Elaine. I was so worried that I wouldn’t sound IM-ish enough and that people wouldn’t be interested in my adventures!!

BTW, you were right about Daniel on the X-Factor, he was extraordinarily orange ;)

    Take care

I’m so pleased that everyone enjoyed the interview. The feedback I’ve had on all the interviews I’ve done with various marketers has been really amazing, and I’m thankful to all of them for giving me their time.

    Thanks again Paula :)

    Dan

Hi Paula, Terrific interview with loads of good advice for “newbies” (like me!), and all the personal background info on yourself. Many of us can relate to parts of your story and that of course helps me, for example, see how determination will get results - just need to “stick with the program!”
