Some handy hints and tips, most of the problems you describe also transfer to desktops. often the most common cause of errors, black out and blue screens are caused through overheating or lack of power. Had a sweet dual Sli graphics card setup, but the machine kept conking out due to overheating. Once i stuck a few fans and an extractor in the machine ran like a dream.

Excellent article, Paula! I would like to also mention that keeping your battery installed in your laptop while you are running on a/c power can also increase your chances of overheating. Most laptop manufacturers recommend that, unless you are recharging the battery, you remove the battery from its port until you need it to run on dc power.

Same thing happens to me, if you get a red dotted pattern thing, it ma be erythema ab igne. (many pictures in google are a lot worse than my legs) If i remember right, this is caused by radiation and could lead to sterilisation.
