WordPress Theme Generator

April 22nd, 2008 | by Paula Brett |

Great news if you’re stuck on chosing a theme for your blog. There are so many of them, aren’t there?

You could go in to browse and not emerge for a week!!

Red, blue, green, 2 columns, 3 columns, right navigation, left navigation???????

The layout is good but the colour is naff. Navigation is awful but love the colours and images … and it goes on!

Now you can create your own theme and, when you’re done, download the zip file and install

Check it out here

Wordpress blog themes, revolutionOn the other hand, if, like me, you’ve been coveting one of the amazing REVOLUTION blog themes from the talented Brian Gardner and his team, there’s more great news.

If you’re not happy to shell out $79.95 straight away and want to have a play around first, you can now download a free Revolution theme here (check out the live demo to see how great it looks).

Happy theming!

Thanks Paula! I have ‘creating my own blog’ on my list of things to do. This will make it a little easier!

Paula, thanks so much for the kind words regarding the Revolution themes, as well as the plug for my new free theme! :)

No thanks needed, Brian. My readers and subscribers know that I only recommend the best and your work on Revolution is second-to-none. Keep up the brilliant work ;)

OK, don’t know if thanks are in order or not. I had no plans to change the blog just started for my new project.

Now, I think I might have to. Anyway I’m off to explore.

    Kidding aside, THANKS! Paula

    GREAT information there Paula!

Me being myself, and liking this sort of thing…I was hot on the heals waiting for Brian to release that theme and try it on my blog. (Remind me never to try ‘playing’ around with it at 1 in the morning again!)

Very nice of Brian to come and comment on your blog aswell! I’ve not had the luxury yet! :P

I’d recommend you pick-up one of the themes created by Brian Gardner, cause this is one person who cares about your blogs looking out of this world. He updates them, and will always make sure they are compatible with the latest version of Wordpress!

If I can plug myself in anywhere, my *NEW* blog is going to be a Revolution theme! (Should I have just said that?!) And it’s going to have a little customisation work done to it… :D

Well I best let you get onto the next comment or post!

    Thanks
    Mark

Carol, don’t get lost forever ;)

Mark, I’m looking forward to seeing your new theme - though I have become accustomed to the green one!

Candice, I can’t understand why you are dissatisfied with your blog theme, it looks pretty cool to me.

    Best wishes
    Paula

    HEHE Paula!

I must say that the green one is nice, it just has limited features! I’ll possibly have to incorporate quite a bit of green into the new theme… LOL

Maybe a survey would go down a treat?!

Hopefully I’ll be able to get 80% done myself, and asking for some assistance to get it complete.

A new theme is coming, it might just be a little time before it’s published. Gotta make sure the ‘bad boy’ is the best it can be. :D

Take care, and enjoy your Sunday!

    Thanks
    Mark
